Special Services
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Special education and related services are provided to children with disabilities who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Merritt School District follows the federal guidelines of providing a variety of services and placement continuum options. Services are provided to students for a variety of needs. Working together as a team (parents and school personnel), we challenge each student based on their individual levels of functioning and performance to be successful in our school, home, and community.
Suspecting your child may have a disability can be an anxious time for you and your family. Please review our Child Find information to assist you in obtaining help for a free evaluation to determine if your child is eligible for special education and related services.
